Petra, the Nabataean marvel - Jordan 3/6

When i was young my dream was to see all the New 7 Wonders of the World

I was struck by the beauty of the Taj Mahal few years ago but Petra site is the Jewel of Jordan

The journey start early in the morning by a 30 minute walk into the Petra valley

Then when you're completely surronded by immense rocks you see it,

"The Treasure"

This immense detailed temple " Al-Khazneh " measure 42 meters height and as you may have guessed is carved in the red rocks of Petra site

But the discovery doesn't stop here, the whole Petra site is almost 300 km square and offers as often in Jordan a variety of differents types of ruins, buildings, landscape and architecture

Notice the different layes in the stone, by digging into the mountain the builders have excavated natural mosaics, a testament of nature amazing beauty
